Kate Adie She was BBC chief correspondent for 14 years and became famous as a front-line reporter in China (Tiannamn Square) and Rwanda. She became famous as the reporter on the spot during the SAS attack on the Iranian Embassy siege. She is also famous because she is a woman in a job almost totally domminated by men. She has a reputation for integrity and bravery.
Natasha Kaplinsky currently does a short news programme with channel five. Started her career on a youth chat show called F2F on BBC. Later she worked on BBC breakfast and then got promoted to BBC six o'clock news. She was third ever women to host BBC ten o'clock news. Worked for sky news in 200 then moved to BBC. One strictly come dancing which made her more of a celebrity than a news reader. When she moved from BBC to channel 5 she became the highest ever paid news reader earning £300,000 a year. She increased channels fives rating by 72%
Moira Stewart was the first black woman to the news on live telvision.she has recently been the centre of media attention due to her removal from the politics programme, which showed every sunday am. she previously won an OBE in 2001. in 2004, she allowed herself to become a subject in BBC's Who Do You Think You Are? ,which traces back family history and heritage. after her removal from her regular BBC slot, there was a huge outcry, as many people such as the ederly, and the ethnic minority saw her as a symbol of the modern world overcoming differences. she has received support from important names, such as Trevor Mcdonald, Andrew Marr, Mr Humphry, Sue Macgregor, and jon snow.
